7 cubic meters of oil were pumped out at the site of the diesel fuel spill on the Yenisei River. This was announced on June 11 by the head of the Kazachinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Yuri Ozerskikh.

"7 cubic meters of oil—containing liquid have been pumped into special containers," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, similar work is planned for Wednesday, June 11.

Ozerskikh also clarified that currently the contaminated water area is being treated inside the booms with an area of about 4.5 thousand square meters. m. He stressed that a total of more than 100 specialists from various departments were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the accident, as well as 26 pieces of equipment.

Rosprirodnadzor, in turn, confirmed that the water in the accident area does not pose a danger to the health of local residents, but it is recommended to refrain from drinking river water.

On June 9, it was reported that a leak of petroleum products occurred in the Kazachinsky threshold of the Yenisei River in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to damage to the hull of the ship. The investigators have begun conducting procedural checks under Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violations of the rules for handling environmentally hazardous substances"). Later that day, it was reported that the amount of fuel leaked from the ship had increased to 30 tons.
