In Alaska, an F-16 fighter jet of the South Korean Air Force was damaged during military exercises led by the United States. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency on Wednesday, June 11.

The agency clarified that two soldiers who were in the fighter jet managed to eject and were not injured.

The agency is now determining the exact causes of the incident.

Earlier, on June 8, a US soldier died while preparing for exercises in Hungary due to an incident with equipment. The dead soldier turned out to be 24-year-old Sergeant Aaron Cox, who served as an infantryman in the second mobile combat brigade of the 101st Airborne Division. The Armenian died as a result of injuries sustained from an accident with military equipment.
