Two people convicted of organizing illegal migration in Kuzbass
In Kuzbass, two people were found guilty of organizing illegal migration and forgery. This was announced on June 11 by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (IC RF) for the Kemerovo region in its Telegram channel.
"The evidence collected by the investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo region was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict a former employee of the regional center for testing citizens of foreign countries of one of the educational institutions and a foreign citizen," the report said.
According to the agency, at the end of December 2023, a teacher of additional education together with a colleague organized the illegal stay in the Russian Federation of seven foreign citizens, one of whom was the defendant. The women took a fictitious exam and signed a number of documents required to obtain a residence permit in Russia.
By the verdict of the court, the guilty party was punished under clauses "a, b" of Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of illegal stay in the Russian Federation of foreign citizens") and Part 1 of Article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Official forgery") in the form of imprisonment for a term of four years suspended with a probation period of three years. The foreign citizen was sentenced to two years and six months of probation with a probation period of three years.
Earlier, on June 10, a criminal case was opened in Primorye after the illegal migration of 198 foreigners. According to the scheme, foreigners received secondary school diplomas without attending classes.
