The Pentagon has calculated the cost of a military response to the protests in Los Angeles

The military response of the administration of US President Donald Trump to the protests in Los Angeles will require costs of about $ 134 million. This was stated by the Pentagon's chief financial Officer Bryn Woollacott McDonnell, as quoted by The Washington Post on Tuesday, June 10.

"The Trump administration's military response to the riots in Los Angeles is expected to cost $134 million over 60 days of operation," the publication said.

It was noted that this amount includes, among other things, the cost of food and transportation.

McDonnell spoke about this during a speech in the House of Representatives. US Secretary of Defense Peter Hegseth mentioned at the same time that the operation was expected to last about two months.

Large-scale rallies in the United States have already turned into a struggle between Republicans and Democrats.

Mass protests in California began after a police raid to identify illegal migrants, during which 45 people were detained. On June 8, Trump ordered the National Guard to be sent to the state to stop the riots, which was condemned by the governors of 22 states, regarding it as an "abuse of power."
