- Axios has learned about the appointment by the White House of the National Security Council adviser on the Middle East

The White House has appointed Wayne Wall as an adviser on the Middle East to the National Security Council (NSC) as part of the department's reconstruction. This was announced on Tuesday, June 10, by the Axios portal, citing sources.
It is specified that Wall became the first high-ranking employee of the National Security Service after a large-scale purge of personnel carried out by decree of US President Donald Trump more than two weeks ago. He previously served in the U.S. Central Command for the Middle East.
The White House did not give an official comment to the media.
On May 23, Axios learned that Trump, together with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are reorganizing the National Security Council, reducing the number of department employees. According to the portal, these procedures are part of the fight against the so-called deep state (the emergence of hidden structures in the state that are not elected by the people and influence politics and the economy).
