Arugula is one of the popular products that has many useful properties. About the benefits of arugula, June 10, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by nutritionist Ekaterina Guzman.

"Arugula is a healthy and delicious leafy vegetable rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants such as glucosinolates, which are converted into isothiocyanates in the body. These substances have anti—inflammatory and anti-cancer properties," Guzman noted.

The expert notes that arugula is useful for weight loss, maintaining normal blood pressure, and improving the functioning of the digestive and cardiovascular systems.

"Vitamin C and other antioxidants contained in arugula strengthen the immune system and help the body fight infections," the doctor said.

At the same time, the expert recommended using the plant fresh, preserving its beneficial properties. 50-100 grams per day is enough for a person.

"Arugula goes well with vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, cheese and olive oil," concluded the nutritionist.

Earlier, on June 10, nutritionist Margarita Koroleva gave advice on choosing and eating summer berries. According to the expert, all berries that have grown naturally without chemicals are useful to a healthy person.
