In Ust-Kamchatsky district, the police stopped the production of unmarked fish products. Law enforcement officers seized 750 kg of frozen sockeye salmon. This was announced on Wednesday, June 11, by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kamchatka Territory.

"The deputy general director of the fish processing enterprise organized the production, processing and storage of 750 kg of frozen sockeye salmon (30 boxes of 25 kg each) without mandatory labeling provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation and data entry into the Federal State Information System Mercury," the agency's Telegram post says.

Thus, the defendant intended to conceal the actual production volumes and evade the necessary control over the use of quotas, as well as distort the actual shelf life of products.

It is specified that sockeye salmon with a total value of 400 thousand rubles were seized from the fish processing enterprise. The man admitted his guilt.

A criminal case has been opened against the man on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, purchase, storage, food products without labeling provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation, if such labeling is mandatory on a large scale"). The defendant admitted his guilt. The investigation is ongoing, the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia added.

Prior to that, on May 28, it was reported that in the Saratov region, a 49-year-old man would stand trial for committing a number of frauds related to counterfeit alcohol and tobacco products. The illegal activity of the attacker was stopped by law enforcement officers in April last year.
