Nutritionist, PhD Margarita Koroleva told how to choose the right summer berries, and gave advice on their use.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, June 10, the specialist noted that all berries that have grown naturally without chemicals are useful to a healthy person. It is best to consume those that are rich in bioflavonoids, vitamins and minerals.

Before buying, she advised to check the documents on the origin of the products, as some berries can ripen with the help of chemicals. What a berry tastes like can be determined by its appearance. According to Koroleva, the sweetest are the naturally ripened smaller berries.

The nutritionist reminded that berries are contraindicated for some people due to allergies or latent intolerance. For those who have no contraindications, you can eat berries in moderation between meals, and you should not replace a full meal with them, Moscow 24 notes.

"Consume two handfuls of berries, preferably of different types, in order to get more vitamins," Koroleva emphasized.
