Private Dmitry Astashin was carrying out the task of delivering logistical equipment to units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to a point near the front line when his car was subjected to mortar and artillery fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, June 11, reported on the exploits of the Russian military committed in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Astashin reacted in time to the enemy's attack and drove the car away, avoiding the impact. Skillfully maneuvering, he managed to get to a safe place, kept the transport intact and successfully delivered ammunition to the Russian military.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the vigilance and competent actions of Corporal Maxim Kolegov, who conducted aerial reconnaissance of the AFU locations as part of a team of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The enemy artillery was firing continuously, but Kolegov managed to detect several camouflaged firing points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The corporal determined the coordinates of the targets and informed the command about the results of the reconnaissance. Having received the order to eliminate enemy firing points, Kolegov handed over the coordinates to the Russian gunners. The targets were destroyed with several accurate volleys.

Earlier, on June 10, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Junior Sergeant Artur Urazaev commanded an automatic grenade launcher (AGS) and provided fire support to Russian attack aircraft when, during reconnaissance, he discovered a fortified firing point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
