The UK has imposed sanctions against two Israeli ministers.
Britain has imposed sanctions on Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. This was announced on June 10 on the official website of the British government.
"The UK has imposed sanctions on Israeli government ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich in response to their repeated incitement to violence against Palestinian communities," the publication says.
According to The New York Times, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called the decision outrageous. He also noted that Israel will discuss possible retaliatory actions next week.
On June 7, the Israeli Armed Forces killed the head of the Kataib al-Mujahideen radical group, Asaad Abu Sharia, in the Gaza Strip. It is clarified that the head of the organization was involved in the abduction of the spouses Gadi Haji and the late Judy Lin Weinstein, as well as the abduction and murder of several foreign citizens in captivity.
