Six people became infected with tick-borne borreliosis in the Tula region
Since the beginning of 2025, six cases of tick-borne borreliosis have been registered in the Tula region. This is reported by TSN24 with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.
Since the beginning of March, 994 people have been bitten by ticks. Compared to the same period in 2024, pest activity increased by 4%. There are 295 children among the injured.
In the last week alone, 215 people have contacted doctors.
Doctors note that borreliosis is manifested by headache, stiffness of the neck muscles, fatigue and nausea. In addition, a circular rash spreads from the bite site.
Last week, a case of ehrlichiosis was registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. A total of 81 cases of tick-borne infections have been registered since the beginning of the season.
