The issue of preserving Russia's national values is an important one. This was stated on June 10 by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, following a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.

"As the chairman of the Security Council, Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin], has said now, and he has said before, this is an important issue, especially for our country, a country inhabited by 195 ethnic groups," he said.

According to Shoigu, public and religious organizations in Russia are also engaged in preserving the history of Russia.

During the Security Council meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergei Naryshkin spoke about the work of their compatriots abroad. Shoigu called the report of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova the main one. She spoke about what has been done and what plans are expected to be implemented in this direction.

"There is no direction in the activities of state power that would not somehow relate to what we are considering today. This is the preservation of our history, memory, and youth education, it is present everywhere, there are no exceptions," Shoigu summed up.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the topic of improving state policy in the field of protection of traditional values important and relevant for the state. According to him, this issue is related to ensuring the sovereignty and national interests of the country, strengthening security, harmony and stability in society, addressing the most important issues of saving people, as well as developing demography and educating young people.
