A criminal case has been opened in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) after an incident with an An-2 aircraft operated by MIAN Airlines, which triggered an emergency radio beacon. This was announced on June 10 by the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (MCT) of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"The Yakut Investigative Department for Transport of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violations of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport")," the agency noted in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that as a result of search operations, damage was found to the aircraft, the amount of damage amounted to more than 1 million rubles. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

The An-2 distress signal was sent on the morning of June 10. Later, the aircraft was found. It was clarified that two crew members and an observer pilot were on board.
