The police detained the politician, a foreign agent of Shlosberg

In the Pskov region, police officers detained Lev Shlosberg, deputy chairman of the Yabloko political party, who was recognized as a foreign agent, in a criminal case on discrediting the Russian army. This was announced on June 10 by Anton Morozov, acting head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

"A criminal case has been opened against the deputy head of the regional branch of one of the political parties on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," Morozov said.

It is clarified that Shlosberg, using a pseudonym, posted videos on social networks that were aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Russia. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is currently being resolved.

As noted in the regional branch of the party, Shlosberg was sent to a temporary detention facility.

Earlier that day, a source from Izvestia reported that Shlosberg had been searched.

Shlosberg was included in the register of foreign agents in Russia on June 16, 2023. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation noted that the politician opposed the special military operation in Ukraine, participated in the creation and dissemination of information materials from other foreign agents, and also disseminated false information about the decisions taken by the country's authorities and their policies.
