Putin congratulated medical workers on their upcoming professional holiday
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated doctors on the upcoming Day of the Medical Worker. This was announced on June 10 by the Kremlin's press service.
They clarified that the head of state took part in the opening of six new healthcare facilities in Russian regions via video link.
"Taking this opportunity, <...> I would like to congratulate all medical workers on the Day of the Medical Worker. I want to congratulate everyone who chose this difficult, but extremely necessary, noble profession," Putin said, his words are quoted on the Kremlin's website.
The President noted the importance of the doctors' work, pointing to their dedication to a high mission, competence, talent and responsiveness. The Russian leader dedicated special words of gratitude to the medical workers participating in the special military operation.
"Risking themselves, showing heroism, they save the wounded, in the full, literal sense of the word, if necessary, they cover themselves, carry out the most difficult operations, nurse, support the fighters,— Putin stressed.
On May 13, Putin announced that in recent years Russia has made a huge step forward in preserving the health of its citizens. The Head of State expressed gratitude to all medical professionals, pointing out the obvious progress of the Russian Federation.
