One of the most problematic types of containers in everyday life is an aluminum can, as it has a significant drawback — the contact surface is not protected in any way, and various bacteria can be found on it. Olga Anishenkova, head of the Food Products department at the Law and Health Foundation, told about this on Tuesday, June 10.

"Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus are especially common, which are antiseptic—resistant microorganisms that are transmitted by touching unwashed hands or through dirty surfaces in warehouses and logistics," Anishenkova said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to the expert, for this reason, soda and energy drinks should be poured into a mug or glass before use.

At the same time, the expert called glass containers one of the most reliable beverage packages, because it does not react with liquids and has a removable lid.

Anishenkova noted that tetrapack and similar packages consist of 5-7 layers, including paper, polyethylene and aluminum foil, which creates an effective barrier protection from light, oxygen and microbes, allowing drinks to be stored for 6 to 12 months without a refrigerator.

The specialist added that the main advantages of plastic bottles are tightness, lightness and the presence of a removable lid that allows you to drink without touching the contaminated surface. It should be remembered that the container is sensitive to overheating, so it is better not to leave it in direct sunlight and not to use it for hot drinks.

May 15th 360.ru He reported that 741 eco-points had been established in the Moscow region. Anyone can donate plastic and aluminum containers to fandomates. Then get points and exchange them for a discount from partner companies, spending bonuses on buying groceries, clothes, going to the cinema and using digital services.

Earlier, on April 18, toxicologist Mikhail Kutushov warned that drinking from plastic bottles can be dangerous to health, as chemicals, many of which are toxic, can migrate from plastic into water, especially during prolonged storage.

In turn, Andrey Dorokhov, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, associate professor of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at RTU MIREA, told RT which water bottles can be used without harm to health. According to the expert, such bottles are considered to be made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE, figure 2), polypropylene (PP, figure 5) or tritan. These materials are less harmful and recyclable.
