The Russian Embassy expressed its condolences in connection with the shooting at a school in Austria.

The Russian Embassy in Austria has expressed its condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the shooting at a gymnasium in the Austrian city of Graz. The message was posted on the Telegram channel of the diplomatic mission on June 10.

"We express our deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the embassy said in a statement.

The diplomats also requested information about the presence of Russian citizens among the victims.

At least 10 people, including students and teachers, were killed.

Earlier in the day, it became known about the shooting at the educational institution. According to preliminary information, the attacker opened fire in two classrooms. The shooter turned out to be a student at the school and considered himself a victim of bullying. It was clarified that the attacker died, his body was found in one of the school toilets.

According to the latest data, 11 people died as a result of the incident, 28 victims were hospitalized.
