The event has been organized by the Union of Journalists of Russia and the journal "Journalism and Media Market" for more than a decade. The Izvestia News Center's material, “Poison at Home: more than 60% of dishes ordered with delivery turned out to be unusable,” won in the “Best Investigative Journalism” nomination.

As a result of the Izvestia study, it turned out that more than 60% of the dishes ordered with delivery turned out to be unusable. The decision to conduct a journalistic investigation was made after the largest outbreak of botulism in the last 25 years in Russia. This happened in the middle of July 2024. Then more than 400 people were admitted to hospitals in 11 regions of the country with a diagnosis of botulism, two of them died. All the victims were poisoned with bean salad, which was delivered by the "Kitchen in the area".

In addition, Izvestia has prepared a special project “Food Delivery”, in which users were able to study the details of the study, learn about what can endanger their health when ordering ready-made food and how to protect themselves.
