The temperature record was set in Lipetsk. On June 9, the thermometer rose to +33.6 degrees.

The previous high for this day was in 1948. It was +32.4 degrees, GOROD48 writes with reference to Olga Goncharova, forecaster on duty at the Lipetsk Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.

It was even hotter in the Horse Well, +34.7 degrees. The 1948 record there was +33.3 degrees.

Earlier, Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading expert at Meteonosti, warned that June 9 would be the last hot day in the Moscow region, after which Muscovites would experience a significant cold snap.
