The police stopped the activities of a group that stole 700 million rubles from the Russian budget on government contracts. This was announced on June 10 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.
"According to preliminary information, the attackers used the banking details of controlled organizations with which 485 government contracts were concluded. They provided for the supply of petroleum products to budget institutions for a total of 700 million rubles in more than 30 regions of Russia," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.
According to Volk, the attackers did not fulfill their obligations.
On this fact, investigators have opened 22 criminal cases on the grounds of crimes provided for in parts 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In addition, law enforcement officers detained two alleged organizers of the group. At the moment, all episodes and participants of illegal actions are being established.
