Putin welcomed the participants and guests of the V International Tourism Forum "Travel!"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent greetings to the participants, organizers and guests of the V International Tourism Forum "Travel!", which will be held from June 10 to 15 in Moscow at VDNH. The text is published on the Kremlin's website.

"Over the past time, the forum has brought together representatives of major travel companies, relevant ministries and departments, business and expert circles, and public organizations, and has made a significant contribution to the development of the domestic travel industry and the popularization of travel as an active, informative and useful form of leisure."

Vladimir Putin noted that tourism in Russia has been developing dynamically in recent years, its infrastructure has been improved, new routes and in-demand, creative travel products aimed at people of different ages have been developed. "And, of course, the tourism industry is an important factor in strengthening the socio-economic potential of cities and entire regions, opening up opportunities for the creation of modern jobs, the growth of entrepreneurial activity in related fields – trade and construction, catering and folk crafts. It promotes the preservation and revival of historical, architectural and cultural monuments," the Head of state emphasized in his greeting.

In conclusion, the Russian President expressed confidence that the forum would be held in a creative and constructive manner, and its decisions would contribute to the further formation of a competitive tourism market in our country, improve the quality of services provided, train qualified personnel, and generally promote Russia as one of the most interesting and hospitable travel destinations.
