The Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) did not receive mass appeals from citizens after information about the illness of a large number of tourists from the Russian Federation in Turkey. This was reported to Izvestia on June 10 by the press service of the department.
Earlier that day, the media reported that dozens of Russians vacationing in Turkey were hospitalized due to allergies to the sun. The relevant reports were received from resorts in Side, Kemer and Antalya, clarifies "Газета.Ru ".
"According to the operational information of the PCT member tour operators, there have been no mass appeals from citizens," the agency said in a statement.
It is clarified that Russians have not received similar complaints under insurance contracts either. The PCT urged to double-check the sources of information.
On June 2, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported that no cases of Coxsackie virus importation had been recorded in the Russian Federation. According to them, the epidemiological situation remains under control. The ministry also said it was monitoring reports of mass complaints from Russian tourists about cases of the virus in southern Turkey.
