On the eve of holidays, including Russia Day, attackers are beginning to actively implement fraudulent schemes. This was announced on June 10 in the press service of the Department for the organization of combating the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Phishing mailings about fake government payments in messengers are already being recorded," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to their data, experts also predict that intruders will use deepfakes and engage in fraud in the field of recreation and tourism.

The department urged Russians not to trust the messages of strangers, double-check information, do not click on suspicious links, do not inform third parties of authorization codes, and avoid buying tickets from unknown travel organizations.

On June 7, the Roskachestvo Digital Expertise Center reported on a new fraud scheme on the eve of Russia Day. It was clarified that the main goal is to gain access to the accounts of users of the Telegram platform.

According to the agency, through Telegram bots, users are invited to participate in a "prize draw" for the holiday, and they are promised a large sum of money as a prize. At the same time, to participate, the user is asked for contacts and asked to enter the code from the SMS.
