- The FSB detained a man who planned to transfer the schemes of Sukhum airport to Ukraine

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation announced the detention of a Russian citizen who planned to transfer the schemes of Sukhum airport to the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine for committing a sabotage and terrorist act. The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the ministry on June 10.
"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the State Security Service of the Republic of Abkhazia (SSS RAb), suppressed the illegal activities of a Russian citizen born in 1980, carried out on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services," the statement said.
It is reported that the attacker maintained contact with representatives of the State Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and provided them with information about the nature of his work at Sukhum International Airport, where he worked as an engineering and technical service specialist.
"In order to realize the criminal intent, the defendant proactively planned to transfer to the enemy the layout plan of MAP Sukhum and the adjacent closed parking lot used for receiving official international delegations," the department said.
The FSB added that the man admitted his guilt and confessed. A criminal case has been opened against him under the espionage article.
Earlier that day, the FSB detained a Russian man for preparing a terrorist attack in the administrative building of the Krasnodar Territory at an energy facility and transmitting information about the movements of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to the Ukrainian special services.
