Putin awarded historian Chubaryan the State Prize for humanitarian achievements
On June 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Academician Alexander Chubaryan the State Prize for achievements in humanitarian activities. The relevant decree has been published on the Kremlin's official website.
"The State Prize for Outstanding Achievements in the field of humanitarian activities in 2024 was awarded to Alexander Chubaryan, scientific director of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences," the Kremlin said in a statement about the award.
On May 22, Putin awarded Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov the highest Russian award, the Order of St. Andrew the First—Called. At the ceremony in the Kremlin, the highest state awards were presented to almost 20 citizens. Among them are military personnel, cosmonauts, representatives of culture, medicine, industry and mothers with many children.
