In Pavlovsky Posad, children affected by dogs will receive compensation

In Pavlovsky Posad in the Moscow region, the court defended the rights of three children who suffered from attacks by stray dogs. During the inspection, it was found that from September to October 2024, a pack of stray dogs attacked the children during a walk. All the victims were diagnosed with bite wounds.

The supervisory authority stated that this, in particular, was due to the fact that local governments did not take sufficient and timely measures to implement their powers to capture stray animals, the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya writes.

As a result of the audit, the city prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit to protect the rights of minors and recover compensation for moral damage from the local government.

The court satisfied the requirements of the supervisory authority in full. 45 thousand rubles were collected in favor of the children.

An attack by two huskies on a nine-year-old child took place in Sochi on February 26. The dogs were unattended by the owner, they were driven away from the boy by passers-by. The surgeon informed him that the boy needed to have a reconstruction of his mouth, lips, cheeks and nose.
