Every year, the demand for travel in Russia is growing, and the development of tourism has a positive impact on the budgets of the country's constituent entities. This was announced on June 10 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in a welcome video message to the participants of the V International Tourism Forum "Travel!".

"The demand for travel in Russia is growing every year. The number of trips exceeded 90 million last year alone," Mishustin said.

According to the Prime Minister, despite the sanctions, more than 9 million foreign tourists came to Russia.

Mishustin also noted that the development of tourism in Russia has a positive impact on related industries: transport, catering, as well as construction, light industry, furniture manufacturing, buses, cable cars and other equipment. He specified that due to this trend, new jobs are emerging, including in rural areas or in remote areas.

On June 4, experts named the summer destinations popular among tourists within the country. It was noted that this year the demand for flights to Gorno-Altaysk, Kaliningrad region, cities of the Far Eastern Federal District (Blagoveshchensk, Ulan-Ude, Vladivostok) and cities with millions (Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Volgograd and Krasnoyarsk) has increased.
