Pskov airport was allowed to receive planes in difficult conditions
Pskov International Airport named after Princess Olga was assigned the 1st category for precision instrument approach. According to the Rosaviation certificate, the airport is ready to receive aircraft in conditions of limited visibility.
As Governor Mikhail Vedernikov said in his Telegram channel, the document was issued based on the results of a successful flight check. It will start operating on June 13.
The Pskov news feed reminds that during the modernization of the airport, the SP-90 system was installed there. This is a complex of radio engineering and lighting equipment that provides automatic landing during low clouds.
According to Vedernikov, this will attract new airlines to the region and will contribute to the development of air routes and the tourist attractiveness of the region.
Earlier it was reported that the building of the international airport named after Princess Olga will be overhauled in Pskov. All planned upgrades at Pskov airport will be carried out in several stages. The renovation of the existing terminal will begin after the completion of the new building.
