The crew of the An-2 aircraft that sent a distress signal was found in Yakutia


The crew of the An-2 aircraft of the MIAN airline, whose emergency radio beacon went off, was found in Yakutia. This was announced on June 10 by the Minister of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Evgeny Perfiliev.
"The plane has been found," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Perfiliev clarified that all crew members are alive.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the Yakutsk Transport Prosecutor's Office, and an inspection has also been organized. Previously, at about 12:00 local time (06:00 Moscow time), an emergency beacon went off.
According to the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office, two crew members and an observer pilot were on board the plane. It is specified that the aircraft was traveling from the Teply Klyuch airfield to perform logging operations in the Tomponsky district of Yakutia.
The An-2 distress signal was sent on the morning of June 10. At that time, it was reported that two pilots and three specialist observers were on board. A Polar Airlines Mi-8 helicopter was sent to search for the aircraft.
