Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg is on board a plane that departs from Israel to France. This was announced on June 10 by the press service of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

"Greta Thunberg is leaving Israel on a flight to France," the statement said, quoted by the Israeli TV channel Channel 14.

Swedish activist Greta Thunberg flew to France after she refused the right to a hearing before deportation. Four more flotilla passengers boarded the flight with her, who also refused this procedure, the channel adds.

According to Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Arbel, "Israel will not allow its sovereignty to be undermined by provocations of protest fleets near its borders." He added that he had ordered "the return of 12 flotilla members to their countries." According to him, eight people, including MEP Rima Hassan, refused to sign documents for voluntary deportation and "will be expelled by court order."

Those who refuse to sign the papers and leave the country will be taken to the courts for approval of expulsion, according to Israeli law.

On June 9, Thunberg accused the Israeli authorities of kidnapping after not allowing her ship Madeleine to enter Gaza on a humanitarian mission, as the activist herself stated. In her appeal, she called on her family, friends and colleagues to put pressure on the Swedish government to achieve the immediate release of all participants in the mission, including herself.

Later, on June 10, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced the arrival of the activists of the Madeleine vessel at the airport for further deportation. They clarified that the consuls of the embassies of the countries of residence met the activists at the airport.
