The FSB showed footage of the arrest of a Russian who was preparing a terrorist attack in Kuban

The Federal Security Service (FSB) on Tuesday, June 10, detained a Russian man suspected of collaborating with the Ukrainian special services. According to investigators, he was supposed to commit sabotage and provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with information about strategic facilities.

"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has detained a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 2003, who, on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine, planned to commit a terrorist act in crowded places in the Krasnodar Territory," the FSB's public relations center said in a statement.

According to the FSB, in February 2025, the person involved was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine through the WhatsApp messenger to obtain intelligence information on the territory of Russia. He was engaged in photographing military installations and collecting information about the movements of ships of the Black Sea Fleet.

The investigation believes that, acting on the instructions of the curator, he had to remove an IED weighing 2.5 kg from the cache for subsequent detonation in the administrative building of one of the energy facilities in the region.

The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory has opened a criminal case against the man under Part 1 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205 "Preparation for a terrorist act" and part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 222.1 "Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

On June 9, the FSB prevented a sabotage at a military-industrial complex (MIC) facility in the Moscow region. According to the agency, two Russian citizens involved in the preparation of the attack were detained. They passed information about the company to the Ukrainian special services and prepared explosions at the defense industry facility.
