On June 9, the authors of the most significant television projects were awarded TEFI bronze statuettes in Moscow. It is noteworthy that this is only the third time in the history of the prize that it has been awarded posthumously. The winner was the Izvestia war correspondent Semyon Eremin, who created the documentary "Liberation of Avdiivka. An unknown chronicle."

The award ceremony took place at the Bolshoi Theatre, which highlights the status of television as a full-fledged art form. Among the laureates are leading figures of the domestic television space, including employees of the Izvestia News Center, authors of documentary and entertainment projects of REN TV and Channel Five.

Semyon Eremin's award was given to his widow Victoria. A war correspondent was killed in a special military operation area last spring. He was always on the front line, covering key events, including the entry of Russian troops into Avdiivka. SVO fighters say that being a warrior means living forever. These words fully apply to Semyon Eremin.

"He would be happy, really. Because that's what he was aiming for. This is a recognition in our rather serious journalistic world," said Victoria Eremina.

Another significant award was given to a report by Murad Magomedov and Ramazan Rashidov, employees of the North Caucasus Bureau of REN TV.

"We are TEFI holders from the region. It is especially valuable for us to work in the region...> I want to say a big thank you to my TV channels REN TV, Izvestia, Channel Five," Magomedov said.

In addition, Channel Five's Day of Good Deeds project, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, was recognized as the best in the social sphere. During this time, the team has helped hundreds of children across the country.

"First of all, of course, this is a reward for our viewers, who help children regain their health every Thursday," said Marina Belova, Deputy General Director of Channel Five.

And in the "Lifestyle" nomination, Channel Five's program "Signature Recipe with Emelianenko" won.

The winners of the award were determined by a vote of members of the Academy of Russian Television, and the award ceremony is scheduled for June 9 and 10, 2025. The laureates received a bronze statuette "Orpheus" by the sculptor Ernst Neizvestny.
