Criminal case opened in Primorye after illegal migration of 198 foreigners

In Primorye, six people will stand trial after organizing the illegal migration of 198 foreign citizens. This was announced on Tuesday, June 10, by the Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's Office.
"In the period from November 2021 to June 2023, the director of the regional state autonomous professional educational institution Regional Technical College created an illegal scheme for admitting foreign citizens to study," the agency said in a Telegram post.
According to the scheme, foreigners received secondary school diplomas without attending classes. In addition to the college director, the group included two of his deputies, two teachers and a person responsible for finding students to participate in the scheme. As a result, 198 foreigners were enrolled in paid education and received diplomas without visiting couples.
"Subsequently, these documents were used to obtain temporary residence permits," the regional prosecutor's office noted.
It clarifies that the participants in the scheme, depending on their role in it, are charged under paragraphs "a", "c", Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of illegal stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, committed by an organized group, a person using his official position"), paragraphs "d", "286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority, that is, the commission by an official of actions that clearly go beyond his authority and entailed a significant violation of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, as well as the legally protected interests of society and the state, committed by an organized group out of other personal interests").
The property and funds of the accused were seized in the amount of more than 1.8 million rubles. The case has been sent to the Vladivostok court for further consideration.
On May 30, a criminal community of 17 people was discovered in Perm, which illegally legalized 200 migrants in the Russian Federation. The community operated in Moscow, the Perm Region, as well as in the Tula and Samara regions.
