10 new elevators will be installed in Moscow's above-ground crossings

In 2025, 10 new elevators will be installed in Moscow's aboveground pedestrian crossings. This was announced on Monday, June 9, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.
According to him, equipping these structures with elevator cabins is an important part of the program to create a barrier–free environment in the city. Specialists of the urban economy complex will install elevators in five above-ground pedestrian crossings on the MKAD, Borovskoye and Kievskoye highways. This will improve the accessibility of urban infrastructure for people with limited mobility, according to the Moscow City News Agency.
During the work, the elevator shafts will be insulated, ventilation and power supply will be organized. Cabins and floor platforms are also equipped with video surveillance. After the installation is completed, the operation of the elevators will be monitored around the clock by dispatchers, writes IA Regnum.
