Two people were detained in the Rostov region for the illegal sale of marijuana.


A man and a woman were detained in the Rostov region on suspicion of illegal sale of marijuana. This was announced on Monday, June 9, by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
"An organized group consisting of a 39-year-old woman and a 48—year-old man engaged in the illegal sale of narcotic drugs of plant origin was detained in the Oktyabrsky district of the Rostov region," the agency said in a Telegram post.
The police seized a narcotic drug with a total weight of more than 400 g from the suspects' car. It was established that the man was responsible for transporting wholesale shipments of marijuana, and his accomplice made "hiding places".
A criminal case has been opened on this fact under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted crime and illegal production of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale"). The detainees are in custody.
Earlier that day, a local resident was detained in Sevastopol on suspicion of drug trafficking on a particularly large scale. 0.8 kg of narcotic substances were seized from the detainee. According to the investigation, they were intended for subsequent sale.
