A new type of fraud is spreading on the Internet: intruders steal signatures of Russians to sign fictitious documents. About how this process is going on, June 9, "Gazeta.Ru," said Alexander Vurasko, Director of Development at the Solar AURA External Digital Threat Monitoring Center in the Solar Group of companies.

"To implement this scheme, fraudsters create fake web resources that mimic the official portals of government agencies, in particular, Rosfinmonitoring. On such fake sites, users are asked to first enter their personal information, and then draw a signature," says Vurasco.

He notes that fraudsters use the received signature for purposes such as signing fictitious documents and concluding contracts. This scheme has potential for development, for example, fake websites will increasingly resemble the official web pages of government organizations.

In order not to become a victim of this type of fraud, the expert recommends using official resources.

Earlier, on June 9, in Moscow, a student gave more than 1.7 million rubles to fraudsters. She received a call from a man who identified himself as a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science and invited her to register on the ministry's website and convinced her to dictate the code from an SMS message to him." After that, the student received a call allegedly from Rosfinmonitoring and was informed that her account on Gosuslugi had been hacked.
