Analysts talked about the most popular ice cream among Russians

Every third Russian prefers ice cream. This is on Tuesday, June 10, according to an analysis of 0.8 million anonymized ice cream sales data for May-June 2025, conducted by Atol analysts, the results of which are available to Izvestia.

According to the results of the study, ice cream remains the most popular type of ice cream: it accounts for at least 36% of all sales.

Vanilla ice cream is in second place, about 22% of customers chose it. It is followed by chocolate — about 21% of total sales. Creme brulee took the fourth position with a share of 12%.

Less popular flavors include fruit (2%), strawberry (1.5%), berry and caramel (1% each), as well as other flavors, which accounted for a total of 3.5% of all sales.

Thus, most consumers still choose classic and rich flavors, but the proportion of lighter and more fruity options is gradually increasing, the analysts concluded.

On May 31, the press service of Roskachestvo said that it is possible to determine the condition of ice cream by its appearance. The heterogeneity of the shade or the appearance of ice floes on the surface indicates poor mixing of the ingredients or repeated freezing. In addition, if the product is deformed, it may indicate improper storage or expiration date.
