NATO RQ-4D Phoenix reconnaissance unmanned aircraft will arrive at the Finnish air base for the first time in June this year. This was announced on June 9 by the press service of the country's Air Force on its website.
"In the summer of 2025, the Air Force will conduct multinational exercises Atlantic Trident 25 and deploy unmanned NATO RQ-4D Phoenix reconnaissance aircraft in Finland," the statement said.
It is noted that the RQ-4D Phoenix will be deployed at the Satakunta airbase in Pirkkala for several weeks. The number of drones, as well as the exact dates of their deployment in Finland, are not given in the message.
