More than 73 thousand people have registered for the "This is our family" contest

Over 73,000 people have applied to participate in the second season of the All-Russian competition "This is our family". The application campaign will end on September 14th. This was announced on June 9 by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, during a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the most popular project of the presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities".

"Following the results of the first season, [Russian President] Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] instructed to make the project an annual one, and two weeks ago, on May 27, at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Russia — Land of Opportunities platform, he launched the second season. It is a great responsibility for you and me to be highly appreciated by the president. At the moment, 73,000 people have applied," Kiriyenko said.

Last year, over 600,000 people took part in this competition. According to Kiriyenko, the competition helped to bring families together. In the previous season, certificates were issued to 37 teams. Of these, 15 purchased housing, four — houses, and five of them — land plots.

According to Andrey Betin, Director General of ANO Russia – the Land of Opportunities, rector of the Senezh Management Workshop, the remote stage of the competition includes two areas: achievements and tasks. So, the participants of the competition will be offered to develop a family museum that will reflect different generations.

As part of the assignment dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, it will be necessary to write a book about the ancestors. In the culinary competition, families will prepare a signature dish.

"At the moment, 60% of the fair sex and 40% of the male sex are among the participants of the "This is our family" contest," Betin said.

In his opinion, this was expected, since it is women who motivate men to perform feats. In addition, Betin noted the geography of the competition. He pointed out that on the first day, applications were received from people from all regions of Russia.

On May 27, Putin launched the second season of the "This is our Family" contest. The competition is held in order to support and promote family values. It is noted that in September last year, the President of Russia instructed to make it an annual event.
