The State Duma named possible dates for the end of the Ukrainian conflict

There is a possibility that the Ukrainian conflict will end in 2025. Alexey Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, expressed this opinion on Monday, June 9.
According to the politician, everyone hopes for a resolution of the situation this year, but it is difficult to predict when the conflict will end in these conditions.
"Personally, I expected that the configuration of the peace agreement would be implemented in May and the further implementation of this configuration of the agreement would be during this year, and by the end of the year, I believed, this agreement would be signed. It cannot be signed immediately, it must be phased, but we see that there is no configuration for today," the parliamentarian said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Chepa added that Ukraine is actively opposing the peace agreement. Kiev does not even accept Russia's humanitarian steps, which were agreed upon by the parties during the second round of negotiations in Istanbul.
These steps are ignored solely for political reasons, the deputy believes.
On June 2, the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place, NSN reports. On the same day, it became known that the delegations had agreed on the largest exchange of prisoners of war since the beginning of the special military operation, which would include at least 1,000 people on each side. 360.ru .
Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said on June 7 that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war, RT reports. He called on Kiev to comply with the agreed schedule and fulfill all agreements.
