Christian Kivu appointed new head coach of Inter Football Club

The Italian football club Inter announced the appointment of Romanian specialist Cristian Kivu as the head coach of the team. The contract runs until 2027. The corresponding statement was published on the club's official website on June 9.

"FC Internazionale is pleased to welcome Christian Kivu as the new head coach of the first team. The coach has signed a contract with Inter until June 30, 2027," the statement said.

It is reported that Kivu played for the Milan team from 2007 to 2014 until the end of his playing career. From 2018 to 2024, the Romanian specialist led Inter's youth teams of different ages.

Kivu has been working at Parma since February 2025. Under his leadership, the team played 13 matches in Serie A, won 3, drew 7 times and lost in 3 meetings, adds Sport-Express.

On June 3, it became known that Simone Inzaghi left the post of Inter head coach. It is reported that under Inzaghi's leadership, the club won six national trophies and also reached the Champions League final twice.
