Burak the cat, who three months ago illegally sailed on a ship of the FESCO transport and logistics company from Istanbul to Novorossiysk, will receive permission from customs authorities and will remain in Russia. This was announced on June 9 by the transport company.

It is specified that in May, a veterinarian examined Burak to obtain permission from customs, and the cat went through all the necessary procedures. After that, they plan to find permanent owners for the cat.

"We turned to animal volunteers so that, taking into account their experience, they would select the most responsible people who have experience keeping such animals," RIA Novosti quoted the company as saying.

According to the interlocutor, it is important for candidates for the role of new owners of the cat to be ready to provide appropriate conditions and to ensure that the increased public interest in the fate of the animal will continue for some time.

On April 3, it was reported that Burak the Cat had illegally arrived in Novorossiysk in March. It is specified that he lived in the port of the Russian city for almost four weeks before he was discovered by Russian sailors.
