Ukrainian prisoners called on Zelensky to take the bodies of the dead militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

On June 9, Ukrainian captured servicemen called on President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to take away the bodies of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"In a democratic country, which they (the Ukrainian authorities. — Ed.) they shout, <...> at a minimum, these servicemen should be returned to their homeland, buried," said prisoner of war Ivan, calling the position of the Ukrainian leadership incorrect.

According to him, Kiev does not want to take the bodies of the dead for financial reasons, as well as because the Ukrainian people are learning about the real number of casualties at the front.

"The people have already been brought to a boil. <...> They (the Ukrainian authorities. They don't want to go for an exchange, because people will understand what kind of losses we have at the front and how many people simply don't return from there," said a captured Ukrainian Armed Forces militant.

Ukrainian prisoner of war Alexander urged Zelensky to return the bodies of the dead to their families, and captured Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter Sergei added that he was not surprised by the delay in receiving the bodies of the dead from the Kiev regime. He pointed out that the government of Ukraine has a "bestial attitude" towards its people.

On June 2, the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place. Russian Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said on June 7 that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war. He called on Kiev to comply with the agreed schedule and fulfill all agreements.
