A Ukrainian was detained in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) for espionage in the interests of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This is reported by the FSB of Russia for the LPR.

"It has been established that a resident of the Starobilsk district of the LPR, in order to assist the armed formations of the enemy, handed over to the Ukrainian special services information about the locations of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the report says.

The criminal was detained and a criminal case was opened under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Espionage".

Earlier that day, a man was detained in the LPR, who was transmitting information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the special services of Ukraine. According to the FSB in the LPR, a resident of the Svatovsky district of the region collected military information in the interests of the SBU.
