Today will be the last hot day in the Moscow region, after which Muscovites will experience a significant cold snap. This was reported to Izvestia on June 9 by Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading expert at Meteonosti.

"Today the temperature will reach +27...+28 degrees, which is considered hot weather for Moscow. However, a cold atmospheric front will pass through the region in the afternoon, which will bring a significant drop in temperatures," the expert explained.

According to the forecaster, on Tuesday, June 11, the night temperature in Moscow will be +13...+15 degrees, and the daytime temperature will not exceed +20...+22 degrees. On Wednesday, the cold snap will intensify: at night, the thermometer will drop to +10... +12 degrees, during the day — to +20 ...+22 degrees.

"Short-term rains are possible in places on June 12, and heavy precipitation is expected in Moscow on June 14. The temperature will continue to decrease and by June 13 it will be only +17...+22 degrees in the afternoon, which is several degrees below the climatic norm," Pozdnyakova added.

The specialist noted that the westerly and then the northerly wind will prevail throughout the week, which will finally change the hot weather to cooler.

On May 20, cardiologist Andrey Kondrakhin told Izvestia about ways to reduce the negative effects of abnormal heat on the body. To prevent overheating, the doctor recommends first of all to limit physical activity and avoid direct sunlight.
