In June, the Finnish Navy will participate in the NATO Dynamic Messenger exercise. This was reported on June 9 by the Finnish Navy.

"In June, the NATO Dynamic Messenger exercises will be held in Finland, during which the use of marine unmanned systems in the conditions of the Finnish coast will be tested," the Navy said in a statement on its website.

As part of the operation, for example, the protection of port territories and critical underwater infrastructure will be practiced. It is noted that such operations will help in the development of military systems suitable for the conditions of the Baltic Sea.

"The [Finnish] Navy is cooperating with NATO in the use of new technologies as part of the development of maritime defense," the statement said.

No exact dates were given for the exercises.

On the same day, the Berliner Zeitung newspaper pointed out concern about NATO's plans to rearm the Baltic States. According to the publication, the North Atlantic Alliance accuses Russia of allegedly having a "shadow fleet", while it does not provide any evidence for these statements.
