At least six people were killed and as many injured when they fell from a moving train in the Indian state of Maharashtra. This was reported on June 9 by The Indian Express newspaper, citing local police.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred on a Pushpak Express train traveling from Mumbai to Lucknow, between Diva and Kopar stations. It is reported that the train was crowded, and people were in the doors of the cars. A police spokesman said that all the victims were taken to the hospital, six of them died. According to him, the victims were between 30 and 35 years old.

The Indian Ministry of Railway Transport added that the overcrowding was caused by heavy passenger traffic and insufficient transport infrastructure in the country. The ministry noted that after this incident, the doors for trains in the Mumbai suburban area will be equipped with automatic closing.

On May 4, Digi 24 TV channel reported that more than 20 people were injured in Romania as a result of a collision between two passenger trains. It is noted that the accident occurred in the city of Constanta, five people were taken to medical institutions.
