Two passenger cars collided head-on on a highway in the Sakhalin region. One driver was killed.

The accident occurred on the evening of June 8 on the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk—Okha road. According to preliminary data, the 27-year-old driver of a Toyota Caldina lost control and drove into the oncoming lane. As a result, there was a collision with a Toyota Mark II car.

The driver of the Caldina died at the scene. It has been established that he does not have a driver's license. A 23-year-old passenger of the second foreign car was injured, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.

In the Yaroslavl region on June 8, a Chevrolet Niva driver drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes car. Four people were killed, and three more were taken to the hospital.
