Russian Poseidon nuclear torpedoes, which are armed with the Belgorod nuclear submarine, are faster than any ship in the world. This was reported on June 9 by the American magazine 19FortyFive.

"Poseidon torpedoes are not only equipped with nuclear warheads, but also run on nuclear energy, which means they have an almost unlimited range, as well as a very high maximum speed, which is likely to surpass almost all surface ships and submarines," the publication says.

The magazine indicated that Poseidon torpedoes are suitable both for strikes on coastal cities and for destroying large groups of ships, including aircraft carriers.
