The amount of fuel leaked from the ship into the Yenisei River increased from 10-15 tons to 30 tons. This was announced on June 9 by the head of the Kazachinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Yuri Ozerskikh.

"Since the evening, the district commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies has been actively working. A state of emergency has been introduced in our district," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Ozerskikh, operational services and supervisory authorities are working at the scene. Despite the measures taken, the oil slick has already reached the shores of Piskunovka and Momotovo.

The head of the district noted that there is no threat to the residents of the Kazachinsky district, but there is a risk to the local flora and fauna.

On June 9, it was reported that a leak of petroleum products occurred in the Kazachinsky threshold of the Yenisei River in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to damage to the hull of the ship. The investigators have begun conducting procedural checks under Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violations of the rules for handling environmentally hazardous substances").
